A simple moving image holography reproducing device using a reflection type liquid crystal display and further a light emitting diode in a reproducing light source, and capable of reproducing high-precision images; and a color moving image holography reproducing device capable of realizing a color holography involving a single-plate hologram, requiring no time-division and being significantly simplified in device configuration. A moving image holography reproducing device comprising a computer for producing a hologram from 3-D coordinates data, a reflection type liquid crystal display for displaying the hologram, a half-mirror for projecting the displayed hologram, and a light emitting diode, wherein a ray of light from the light emitting diode is beamed onto the half-mirror to display a 3-D reproduced image. Handling a 3-D image of a sufficient size in real time in a holography requires 1000-10000 times the information processing power of currently available supercomputers. A faster processing is obtained by processing information on dedicated hardware in a highly parallel/highly distributed environment. |
