An interferometer has multiple waveguide connections (71) of different lengths, also a waveguide input (72) fed with optical signals of different wavelengths (lambda1-lambdan) and waveguide outputs (8.1-8.n), at each of which an optical signal with a different wavelength is picked up. Light for corresponding wavelengths is coupled into two waveguide branches (8.1a/8.1b,8.na/8.nb). An Independent claim is also included for a structure for stabilizing frequencies in optical transmitters.
