GRAPHICS DRAWING DEVICE

PURPOSE: A graphics drawing device is provided to process data at high speed by minimizing data transmission quantity between a memory device and an image processing device. CONSTITUTION: A data storage unit correlates graphics data about two dimensional graphics with graphics data of pixel groups, and stores the graphics data and control data. A data extracting unit extracts the graphics data and the control data. A graphics data producing unit produces new graphics data according to image information. A drawing unit draws the graphics data producing unit. A control data setup unit sets data representing that the drawing of pixels is completed. A graphics list storage unit stores a graphics list. A sorting unit sorts graphics groups according to depth information relating to the depth of the respective graphics. A region judgment unit judges whether drawing regions of polygons are contained in a drawing region. A deleting unit deletes the graphics judged as being contained in such a drawing region from the graphics list. A rectangle setup unit respectively correlates circumscribed rectangles for polygons belonging to the graphics sorted by the sorting unit and inscribed rectangles for the polygons to the drawing regions, and sets the circumscribed rectangles and the inscribed rectangles.
