A method in which a 3D simulation of the objects in their actual positions is presented on a monitor (14). According to the method movement of the objects is then simulated until they reach a set required position. Following the simulated movement the actual objects are then moved until they reach their set positions. The invention also relates to a corresponding medical examination and or treatment device (1), especially an X-ray device with a movement simulation device (13) and an output monitor.
