The lock assembly (10) has a housing with rounded domed ends (11) and straight sides. The bolt (14), which engages with the door, extends from one of the straight sides. The central part of the housing has a trough (17) partially covered by a lifting handle (13). A peg attached to the underside of the handle passes through a slot (18) in the trough. It engages in a slot in the bolt and withdraws it when the handle is lifted. A cylinder lock (32) fits in a socket (15) in one domed end of the housing. It turns a lever blocking the bolt mechanism mounted in the lower part of the housing (12).
