LIQUID COMPOSITION CONTAINING NANO-PARTICLE TITANIUM DIOXIDE FOR PROMOTING PLANT GROWTH

PURPOSE: A plant growth-promoting composition containing as a main component titanium dioxide nanoparticles to be readily absorbed into plants is provided. Therefore, the composition permits plants to absorb a part of carbon dioxide when sprayed on plants, thereby promoting inner photosynthesis and metabolism of plants and increasing the bactericidal activity of plants against plant pathogens. CONSTITUTION: A liquid composition for promoting plant growth contains titanium dioxide nanoparticles having a size of 3,200nm. The pH of the liquid composition is adjusted to 1 to 1,000ppm with an organic acid or an inorganic acid and diluted with water to prevent rapid precipitation of the titanium dioxide nanoparticles in an aqueous solution. The composition also contains adjuvants necessary for plant growth and a surfactant for dispersion. The crystal shape of titanium dioxide colloids is anatase, rutile, brookite or a mixture thereof.
