PURPOSE: An apparatus for blocking a speaker hole prior to call in a mobile communication terminal and its control method are provided to protect privacy of a user by installing a cutoff film inside a mobile terminal to block a voice of the other party transmitted to a speaker hole. CONSTITUTION: When a bell sound is outputted through a speaker hole of a mobile terminal, a user answers a call for communication. Before the call, a controller checks whether a close-key signal is inputted from a key input unit(501). If the close-key signal is not inputted, a cutoff film is not operated. If the close-key signal is inputted, the controller closes the cutoff film.(503). The controller checks whether an open-key signal is inputted from the key input unit(505). If the open-key signal is not inputted, the cutoff film remains in the closed state. If the open-key signal is inputted, the controller opens the cut-off film(507).
