PURPOSE: A method for storing files in a storing system is provided to prevent entire data loss even if power fails when large volume of audio and video data are stored in an HDD. CONSTITUTION: A storage order of files and a new variable are set up to store large audio and video data in an HDD(Hard Disk Drive)(301). A storing operation is executed by cluster units(302). According to the order of the storage, it is confirmed whether the storage is completed in a first cluster(303). If so, the last cluster of file value representing completion of the storage of a file is stored at an FAT table corresponding to a cluster to be stored next(304). An FAT table address corresponding to the first cluster and another FAT table address corresponding to the cluster to be stored next are stored at the new variable(305). In the case that a capacity of the next cluster is filled with the input data, the stored values are read from the variable, and the address of the next cluster is stored at the FAT table address corresponding to the first cluster(306-308). The last cluster of file value is stored at the FAT table corresponding to the second cluster(309). If the entire files are normally stored, the variable of the file system is initialized and a loop is terminated(310).
