A device (23) is provided for detecting the relative positions of the male and female parts (1, 2) of the coupling device in the coupling direction (11). The coupling device comprises a male part and a female part for connecting one or more ends (3a, 3b) of two sets of pressurized medium carrying lines (4, 5). A first casing part (9) on the male part cooperates with a second casing part (10) on the female part to form an enclosure (14) around the line connections. A device (12) is provided for applying a force to at least one of the male and female parts in the coupling direction in order to move these parts relative to each other and join them together. An Independent claim is also included for the use of this device to connect pressurized medium carrying lines between a trailer and vehicle. |
