PURPOSE: A method and a system for offering a text based AD(ADvertisement) are provided to offer the customized AD to a customer without a procedure for constructing, updating, and managing a database for the customer data, and identifying the customer. CONSTITUTION: A user terminal(101) includes all terminals, such as a PC, a notebook, and a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant), to connect to the information providing server(111) through the wire/wireless network(109). The information providing server(111) includes all sites providing contents on the Internet, and provides the information requested from each user through the network(109). A user requests the desired information through the user terminal(101) connecting to the information providing server(111). An AD server(119) transmits the information such as a headline AD, a detail AD, and the link information to the information providing server(111) through the network(109).
