Transmission system for a surgical microscope

The device comprises an electronic control system (3) for generating and processing data signals to control the functions of a microscope (1). A transmit/receive unit (4) is connected to the electronic control system and another transmit/receive unit (5) is connected to the microscope. The data signals are communicated bidirectionally between the two transmit/receive units by radiation.
