PURPOSE: A method for checking and curing a virus in a digital television is provided to update previously stored virus information when new virus information is received and check a virus in a digital television system using the updated virus information. CONSTITUTION: Data is received. Virus information is extracted from the received data(S110). The extracted virus information is compared with previously stored virus information(S120). In the case that the extracted virus information is new virus information different from the stored virus information, a user is informed of the fact. The previously stored virus information is updated to the extracted virus information according to a user's selection(S130). A virus existing in a digital television system is checked and cured according to a user's instruction(S140). |
