METHOD FOR OFFERING STATISTICS AND ANALYSIS THEMATIC MAP BASED ON EXCEL

PURPOSE: A method for offering a statistics and analysis thematic map based on the Excel is provided to enable a general user not having a professional knowledge for the GIS(Geographic Information System) to easily make the thematic map. CONSTITUTION: The Excel program including a map generating function is installed to a user PC. The user registers to a server of a service provider. The geographic information data is stored as an mdb file format of the Access by linking the statistics data of the service provider or an external public organization, and a map wizard program for the Excel offering diverse forms of graphs and maps based on the Excel program is provided to the registered user. After installing and executing the map wizard program for the Excel on the user PC, the user selects a condition to analyze by offering a menu widow gradually, and the geographic information data for the selected analysis unit is displayed on a worksheet of the Excel.
