Safe mounting of piezoceramic plate actuators in a vehicle

The device for reducing vibrations in a motor vehicle comprises a two-layered protective cover (14, 16) on a piezoelectric element (6) which is mounted on a structure (2) whose vibrations are to be reduced. The purpose of such cover is to insulate piezoelectric element from its surroundings. An Independent claim is also included for method for secure application of such a device.
