ERROR COMPENSATING METHOD

PURPOSE: An error compensating method is provided to correct an error generated in an RF chain in a communication system using an array antenna by obtaining the maximum eigenvector, composing an eigenvector corresponding to the maximum eigenvalue, and obtaining an accurate eigenvector. CONSTITUTION: Plural first output signals are generated which are applied to an antenna through plural splitters corresponding to each RF chain from the same signal source and outputted. Two signals are selected from the first output signals, and two output signals are generated which cross RF chains corresponding to the two signal and are outputted. The selected first and second output signals are combined to generate an autocorrelation matrix, and an eigenvector corresponding to the maximum eigenvalue of the generated autocorrelation matrix is estimated. A relative error of a splitter for other RF chains is measured by using the eigenvector to compensate an error of the splitter.
