<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in costs of a steering system needing reinforcement of a column tube to attach a steering-lock device. <P>SOLUTION: This steering lock device 23 is provided with a lock pin 41 engaging with an engaging part 24 of a steering shaft 3, a lock device body 42 holding the lock pin 41, and an electromagnetic actuator 40 for unlocking the lock pin 41. The steering lock device 23 is applied to a column type electric power-steering device 1. The lock device body 42 is fixed to a sensor housing 22 housing a torque sensor 15 and originally having strength, or a car body side member 14 so that a column tube does not need to be reinforced. When the lock pin 41 is engaged with a revolving shaft 30 or a worm shaft 19 of an electric motor 16, the lock device body 42 can be low in strength and inexpensive. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
