PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging device for an air conditioner capable of easily confirming a band clamping state, making a packaging state stable and capable of reducing cost. SOLUTION: In the packaging device comprising a pair of cushioning members 5A and 5B having recessed parts for housing and holding the end parts of an indoor machine 1 on one side thereof and handle parts 3 on the other side thereof, a sleeve-shaped exterior corrugated cardboard box 6 for housing them, and bands for regulating the movement of the cushioning members 5A and 5B housed in the exterior corrugated cardboard box 6, recessed parts 4 are provided to the upper surfaces of the cushioning members 5A and 5B while notches 6f having a predetermined length are provided to both front and rear surfaces of the corrugated cardboard box 6 so as to be positioned inside the upper left and right ends of them and three folds 6g corresponding to the recessed parts 4 provided to the upper surfaces of the cushioning members 5A and 5B are provided to the left and right front and rear parts of the exterior corrugated cardboard box 6 and the bands are wound around the outside of the exterior corrugated cardboard box 6 folded into the recessed parts 4.
