PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tightening nut and a collet chuck having the nut in which the lubrication of a sliding surface of the tightening nut and the collet is improved, the coefficient of friction is reduced, any seizure is prevented, the durability is improved, and no vibration caused by unbalance occurs, and the tool fitting accuracy can be maintained for a long time even when the tool is rotated at a high speed. SOLUTION: A part of the tightening nut in contact with at least the collet 100 which is fitted to a collet chuck body 10 to hold a tool via the collet 100 and tightens the collet 100 together with the collet chuck body 10 is formed of oil-impregnated metal.
