ABSORBENT BODY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent body by which both a soft excrement with a low viscosity and a soft excrement with a high viscosity can be absorbed or held and they can be prevented from being leaked and a method for manufacturing it and an absorbent article. SOLUTION: The absorbent body 2 has an air-laid nonwoven fabric 4 and a liquid-permeable sheet 2a. Both the air-laid nonwoven fabric 4 and the liquid- permeable sheet 2a are embossed and a number of recessed parts 13 being individually independent and discontinuous are formed on the liquid-permeable sheet 2a side. In each of the recessed parts 13, a part of the liquid-permeable sheet 2a is opened and a part of the air-laid nonwoven fabric 4 is exposed in the recessed part 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
