<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience and appearance of a receptacle having a lid. <P>SOLUTION: One end of a rocking arm 9 repulsively urged by a twist coil spring is engaged with an engagement part 12a provided on the circumference around the axis of a pivotably supporting part of a lid body 2 in the lid body opening direction. A stopper unit 1d in which the other end of the rocking arm is turned and butted is provided so that the lid body is opened to the predetermined initial opening by the urging force applied to the engagement part by unlocking a locking means to hold the lid body in a fully closed condition. Since a mechanism to regulate the initial opening of the lid body can be provided in the vicinity of the pivotably supporting part, and no obstacle is present between a body and the lid body when the lid body is opened, small items can be easily taken in and taken out, and the appearance is also improved.
