PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive uniformity in the thickness and structure of a welded zone in a belt-like metallic sheet, even if the sheet material is extremely thin, in a finishing method for the welded zone of butt-welded belt-like metallic sheet. SOLUTION: The ends of the belt-like metallic sheets W1, W2 (sheets) are abutted on each other and fixed; after this abutted part is butt-welded by a welding equipment 4, the welded zone of the sheets, W1, W2 is rolled by a rolling roll 18 to uniformize the thickness and the structure of the welded zone. In such finishing method for the welded zone of the sheets, W1, W2, the welded zone is ground in the raised part of a bead B on the rear side, and then rolled by the rolling roll 18.
