CLIP FORMING MECHANISM IN CLIP BINDING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip forming mechanism capable of retracting a supplying unit without being contacted with a clip after its binding action and further capable of forming the clip positively into a conical shape. SOLUTION: There are provided a pair of under-plates 22 for supporting each of lower surfaces of both leg pieces 3 of a clip 1 arranged at a binding position. A height of each of upper end surfaces of both under-plates 22 is made different and at the same time, each of upper surfaces of both under-plates 22 is formed with an inclined surface 23 having its inside part made high. There are provided a pair of leg gathering pins 17 pulling both leg pieces of the clip 1 inwardly and overlapping them to each other. A restricting surface for restricting an inclination of the leg pieces 3 while abutting against an upper surface of each of the leg pieces is formed above each of the leg approaching pins 17.
