PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vacuum cleaner in which no short circuit occurs during maintenance operation. SOLUTION: It is assumed that a vacuum cleaner with a battery pack (power supply) 5, which provides electricity to an electric air blower in a base case 11, in such a way that it can be removed from a battery case 19 in a base case 11. When the battery pack 5 is in a battery case 19, it interferes a joint screw 37, which is screwed in from inside the battery case 19 through the base case 11 to an under cover case 13 of a cover case 12, so that it cannot be removed. The battery pack 5 is characterized by the fact that it allows the joint screw 37 to be removed inside the battery case 19, when it is removed from the battery case 19, thereby enabling the under cover case 13 to be removed from the base case 11.
