PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing damages caused by birds, getting rid of wild birds come flying to paddies and fields or living in the surroundings, and giving damages by eating agricultural crops or sown seeds. SOLUTION: This device for preventing the damage caused by the birds is provided by fixing two pieces of a rotating body 6 having a prescribed length obtained by forming piano wires as a rod-shape having a prescribed thickness so as to project from the peripheral ends of a rotating plate 5 of a driving part 3 installed on a supporting pole 2 as standing, installing models of raptorial birds 7a as threatening members serving as weights as well at its tips, also installing ribbons 7 diffuse-reflecting light at key points so as to be supple as a drooping state in staying still and drawing circles in rotating. When the long length rotating body 6 rotates, it performs a positive bent moving caused by the flexibility of the material quality. By the visual and instinctive terror and aversion against a body rotating with bending, the noxious birds quickly disappear. Also, even in the cases that in a day of cloudy and weak sunshine or when the rotation of the rotating body 6 becomes weak, since there is the positive bending motion, the device has an effect that the birds are not accustomed to or do not perch on it.
