<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for manufacturing compost capable of inexpensively, easily and rapidly manufacturing full-ripe compost from organic wastes. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for manufacturing the compost is equipped with a blast pipe 3 axially provided with a plurality of holes in a compost depot 2 and is connected with a blower 4 to the base end of this blast pipe 3. The holes disposed at the blast pipe 3 are so formed that the air can be supplied in a plurality of directions in circumferential directions.
