PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a material which is useful as a catalyst, an adsorbent, and a separation agent, or as a base material for an electrically conductive microporous material, an optical functional material, or the like, by synthesizing zeolite with a new structure in which the ratio of SiO<SB>2</SB>/Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>is relatively high without using a special template agent. SOLUTION: A reaction mixture, as an essential condition, containing cesium ions as alkali metal ion sources is heated while stirring the same, so that cesium ion-containing aluminosilicate zeolite having a specified X-ray diffraction pattern can be crystallized.
