PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently absorb impact when an object collides from above a hood panel, in a hood attaching structure for an automobile. SOLUTION: A front hood 2 is attached to a cowl top panel 16 by bolts 14 and 17 and nuts 15 and 18 via a hood hinge 4. An L-shaped reinforcement 23 is attached to a back of an attaching part of the hood hinge 4 of the cowl top panel 16, and a dash side panel 21 is coupled to the reinforcement 23 by spot welding. A bending angleθof a bending part 24 of the reinforcement 23 is acute and a bending part 25 is provided on the dash side panel 21 so as to match the bending angleθ. When an object collides with the front hood 2 from above, the impact is effectively absorbed by bending deformation of the bending parts 24 and 25. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
