<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an admixture for Portland cement which has a suppressing effect on neutralization, and a reduced heating value in hydration, and to provide a method for effectively utilizing slag containingγ-2CaO-SiO<SB>2</SB>. <P>SOLUTION: The cement admixture contains one or more kinds selected fromγ-2CaO-SiO<SB>2</SB>, and contains slag having a specific surface area of≥3,000 cm<SP>2</SP>/g. The cement admixture has a reduced heating value in hydration compared with the conventional limestone fine powder admixture if only the compressive strength of a cement hardened body is equal, and has the suppressing effect on neutralization. Further, it is connected to the effective utilization of the above group of slag which has been made into industrial waste since there has been no method for effectively utilizing the slag because of the occurrence of dusting thereabout, and the amount of clinker to be blended can be reduced by utilizing the same slag, so that a low environmental load type cement composition can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
