PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for filling liquefied nitrogen into a container which can reduce the loss of the liquefied nitrogen upon filling it into the container, stabilize the volume of the liquefied nitrogen filled into the container, and make the components of a filling apparatus, such as a valve or nozzle, possess durability. SOLUTION: According to the method for filling the liquefied nitrogen into the container C, the container C on transfer is filled with the liquefied nitrogen L injected from the nozzle 1 opened and closed by the valve 7. The liquefied nitrogen L is made to flow down at a constant rate in advance before the transfer direction front end 11a of the container opening 11 comes under the nozzle 1, and the constant flow rate is maintained at least until the transfer direction rear end 11b of the container opening 11 passes under the nozzle 1.
