<p>PURPOSE: To provide a motor-driven power steering device capable of positively heat-releasing the generated heat quantity in a circuit element constituting a control device. CONSTITUTION: This motor-driven power steering device is provided with a torque detecting means 5 for detecting steering torque inputted in an input shaft 2 via a steering wheel 1, a motor 17 for generating steering auxiliary torque, a reduction gear 15 built in a gear housing to transfer the steering auxiliary torque of the motor to an output shaft, and a control device 20 for controlling the steering auxiliary torque of the motor in accordance with an output signal from the steering torque detecting means. Lubricating oil is enclosed in the gear housing to make the reduction gear into an oil bath condition. A housing chamber, communicated with the gear housing inside and the inside space is filled with the lubricating oil, is provided on the outer peripheral position of the gear housing. A circuit element, composing the control device and having much heat-generating quantity, is housed in the housing chamber.</p> |
