PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copolymer emulsion for a vibration-damping material or a chipping-resistant material which can give an aqueous vibration-damping material excellent in thermal dryability and vibration-damping properties or an aqueous chipping material excellent in thermal dryability and chipping properties. SOLUTION: This copolymer emulsion for a vibration-damping material or a chipping-resistant material is prepared by copolymerizing a monomer mixture essentially containing an acrylic monomer. The monomer mixture contains less than 10 wt.% unsaturated monomer having a functional group and at least 32 wt.% ethylenically unsaturated alkyl carboxylate monomer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
