PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let a plant wither without making the surface of a field be under water and to maintain weeds in a nongrowing state for a long period of time. SOLUTION: This apparatus K for weeding is equipped with a vehicle 1 and an application system 2 connected to the vehicle so that the application system can be pulled by the vehicle 1. A storage tank 3 for storing salt water, a heater 4 for heating the salt water in the storage tank 3 and a pressurizer 4 for sending the salt water heated by the heater 4 to a spraying apparatus 6 are placed on the bed 10 of the vehicle 1. The application system 2 is equipped with a case 20 having a downward opening box-shaped external shape. Wheels 21 are arranged at the lower side of the case 20. The whole side walls of the case 20 are vertically installed so as not to form a large gap between the walls and the field surface.
