摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, high volume titanium electrolytic capacitor which has reduced leakage current using a stable compound titanium oxide film having a high surface dielectric constant on metallic titanium. SOLUTION: The compound titanium oxide film is formed on the surface of a metallic titanium substrate, and is the one of compound titanium oxides expressed by the formula, M<SB>x</SB>(TiO<SB>3</SB>)<SB>y</SB>(wherein, M is the ions of at least one kind of metal selected from lithium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, barium, and lanthanum; (x) is equivalent to the valence of TiO<SB>3</SB>; and (y) is equivalent to the valence of the metallic ions M). The thickness of the composite titanium oxide film is 5μm, and the film consists of particles having a mean particle diameter of 5 to 1,000 nm.
