PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying device with simple structure capable of restricting positional displacement and wrinkle in the recording medium in carrying. SOLUTION: This carrying device carries the recording medium to a printing range of a recording head by pulling the recording medium wound into a roll in an ink jet printing device for printing the recording medium by discharging the ink to the recording medium from a recording head for discharging the ink. This carrying device is provided with a carrying belt for carrying the recording medium in the condition that it is overlapped with the recording medium. The carrying belt is brought in contact with the outer periphery of the rolled recording medium when it is overlapped with the recording medium wound into a roll. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
