PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a conventional steering device for a running vehicle wherein rust occurs due to rainwater entering the inside of a steering column and dew condensation inside the steering column, thereby shortening service life of a metallic member such as a bearing and worsening feeling of steering handle operation. SOLUTION: A waterproof cap 33 is attached to a part of a steering shaft 26 protruding upward from an upper end of the steering column 27 to prevent rainwater from entering the inside of the steering column 27 through a clearance between the steering shaft 26 and a rubber bush 32.
