PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable heat-insulating container having a great heat- insulating effect and moreover capable of being easily stored in the state of a small size when it becomes empty. SOLUTION: The foldable heat-insulating container comprises a bottom cloth 10, a fore cloth 1, a rear cloth, a right and a left side cloths 2, each cloth 1-2 extending from four sides of the bottom cloth, a lid cloth 3 extending from the rear cloth, and a covering cloth 4 extending from the lid cloth. Each cloth has an outer bag 5 which is formed by sewing two or more cloths, and a support member consisting of a bottom rigid sheet 9 fitted to a bottom of the outer bag and side rigid sheets extending from both ends of the bottom rigid sheet in a foldable manner and being vertically foldable at the respective central parts thereof. The rigid sheets are fixed to both the fore cloth and the rear cloth and are a plastic foam which is composed of fine closed cells and is impossible to be folded. The rigid sheets are sewed into a cloth bag for each piece, and at each connecting portion, the cloths are sewed or connected to each other. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
