PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining apparatus capable of reducing the time required for the whole machining work in the case of manually performing taking and placing work for a work by a worker to the machining apparatus. SOLUTION: This machining apparatus has a flat XY table 21 as an XY driver having a forcer 21b as a moving table capable of moving between a machining position for machining the work W2 and a taking and placing position for taking and placing the work W2. The apparatus body is covered with a front cover 22 as a cover. An opening 22a capable of passing the forcer 21b is formed in the front cover 22, and the taking and placing position is located outside the front cover 22. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
