<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always obtain favorable observation images without being affected by a flare at eyeground image observation, and without being affected by a strength variation of an fluorescent image at a fluorescent image observation. <P>SOLUTION: When a fluorescent imaging a mode is selected by a mode- selecting switch 24, an infrared fluorescent exciter filter 10 is inserted in an optical path, and a gain is automatically set by a television camera control circuit 16, and imaging is performed.
