PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a takeout mechanism for efficiently removing heat from a blow-molded parison and from a formed bottle. SOLUTION: The takeout mechanism which grips the bottle formed at a blow molding station of an I.S.molding machine, takes the bottle out of the blow molding station and puts the gripped bottle at a mounting position and further which more efficiently removes heat from the blow-molded parison and (or) the formed bottle, is provided. This takeout mechanism has a cooling tube which is movable between up and down positions. An open bottom of the cooling tube has an annular deflector which deflects a part of the downwardly propelled cooling air radially outwardly from the cooling tube. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
