FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: proposed wheel contains wheel spider and tire with flange. Balls are fitted in channel formed by outer and inner grooves of radius profile respectively, on rim and in flange. Said balls are driven into channel through holes. Outlet of balls from channel is closed by insert and locking. With wheel rolling along rail, flange, as outer race of bearing at engagement with rail, rotates on balls and rolls along rail together with tire without slipping relative to rail. EFFECT: improved reliability of wheel, decreased resistance to vehicle running and cut down energy consumption. 1 dwg
