<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an IC card reader and enhance the convenience. <P>SOLUTION: This IC card reader comprises a frame 2 for constituting a card carrying passage 2 for carrying an IC card 1 and an IC contact block 5 provided on the frame 3 and having an IC contact 4, and the IC contact 4 is movable to be separated from and pressed onto the terminal of the IC card 1. The frame 3 comprises the card carrying passage 2 formed in a groove shape of a single depth, which guides the carrying of the IC card 1 while sliding the reference end surface 1a of the IC card 1 in contact thereto, a detection part 6 for detecting the insertion of the IC card 1, and a contact part 7 provided on the IC card 1 tip side of the card carrying passage 2, on which the tip of the carried IC card 1 abuts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
