<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently treating various kinds of metal oxide wastes produced in a steels making process at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: In a decarburizing refining step in which carbon is oxidized by blowing oxygen gas and dilute gas into molten steel, when carbon concentration in the molten steel is higher than 5 mass %, the metal oxide wastes are thrown into the molten steel, oxygen in the metal oxides is utilized as oxygen sources during the decarburization, and the metal in the metal oxides is reduced and then, recovered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
