<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broad-band multicast system and a communication apparatus and a communication method used for it. <P>SOLUTION: This system has a network arrangement where a center 30 and each subscriber's house 40 are connected by both an optional IP network 8 and a transmission path 9. The center 30 is provided with a center transmitter 1 which receives the multicast data of a specified multicast address and relays this multicast data to the transmission path, and a filter 3 which prevents it from sending out the above multicast data to the IP network 8. The subscriber's house 40 is provided with an in-house receiver 2 which receives the above multicast data from the transmission path 9, and sends the above multicast data to the LAN in subscriber's house to which the IP network 8 and the multicast receiving terminal are connected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
