PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting metal fitting (metal fittings body) having a U-shaped cross section or the like and showing an excellent deformation strength capable of being favorably fastened and fixed to architectural timber by use of an ordinary nut generally used and obtained in the market without use of washers for an exclusive connecting metal fitting. SOLUTION: The connecting metal fitting connects architectural lumber 1 and connecting lumber 3 with a joint 2 at the end at right angles or obliquely. The joint connecting section 4B connecting to the joint section 2 of the connecting lumber 3 is provided at the turning back separate end of the metal fitting body 4 bent to form a turned back shape and a turned back contact part 4C where the metal fitting can get into contact with the architectural lumber and can be connected thereto is preferably formed at the counter turning- back part. A plurality of bolt holes 7 through which the connection bolts 6 forced to put through the bolt insertion hole 5 formed in the architectural lumber 1 in are inserted, are formed at every specified distance.
