PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition for automotive use having high scratch resistance, body washing scratch resistance and acid resistance. SOLUTION: The coating composition for automotive use comprises a carboxyl-containing polyester resin having unit(s) derived from an alicyclic polybasic acid and/or alicyclic polyhydric alcohol and a vinyl polymer having in one molecule both epoxy and hydroxy groups.
