PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleansing cream which has excellent spreadability, when used, good compatibility with oily stains, a high cleansing effect, a good washing-finished touch, good storage stability and high safety. SOLUTION: This cleansing cream is characterized by comprising (a) 2 to 25 wt.% of an ester oil or hydrocarbon oil which is liquid at 25°C, (b) 2 to 25 wt.% of a cyclic silicone oil which is liquid at 25°C, (c) 2 to 60 wt.% of a polyoxyethyleneglycerol fatty acid ester type ionic surfactant, (d) 2 to 20 wt.% of a water-soluble polyhydric alcohol, and (e) 0.01 to 1 wt.% of an anionic water-soluble polymer, provide that the total amounts of (a)+(b)+(c)+(d) is 20 to 90 wt.%, and (a)/(b) is 1/5 to 10/1.
