<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of members provided in an image forming apparatus by using a part in common by more concretely using the turning shaft of a jammed paper release cover as a positioning means. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus which is provided with at least either one of paper feeding devices 21 and 22 and an image forming apparatus main body 1 and in which the paper feeding devices 21 and 22 and the image forming apparatus main body 1 are arranged so as to be stacked, the turning shaft 31 of a cover 30 that is provided at the paper feeding devices 21 and 22 so as to be freely turnable and is for opening a paper feeding path is arranged in a perpendicular direction. An upper turning shaft 31a is formed by projecting the upper part of the turning shaft 31 upward from the upper surfaces of the paper feeding devices 21 and 22, and also engaging holes 34b into which the upper turning shaft 31a is inserted are formed at the image forming apparatus main body 1 and the paper feeding devices 21 and 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
