<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system and an image forming apparatus capable of setting an appropriate image forming condition by grasping the installation environment of the image forming apparatus at a comparatively low cost. <P>SOLUTION: Information on the installation environment (for example, information on temperature and humidity) of the image forming apparatus A is obtained based on area information R and S and present temporal information T held by a host computer B, and is transmitted to the image forming apparatus A. The apparatus A decides the image forming condition based on the information on the installation environment and forms an image based on the image forming condition. The computer B can perform even the decision of the image forming condition.
