摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire whereby temperature of a discharge lamp ballast can be effectively lowered and miniaturization/thinning can be expedited. <P>SOLUTION: A built-in discharge lamp ballast 6 fixed to a chassis 2 is provided with a ballast element (circuit module) 16 fixed to a case body while including a heating component (transformer) 32 disposed so that is can come close to the case body 13 and the inner surface of the wall part 12a of the case body or can conduct heat to them. A first heat radiating plate 41 of a radiator 9 is sandwiched between the chassis 2 and the main base wall 11a of the case body while making surface contact with them. A second heat radiating plate 42 of the radiator 9 is disposed on the outer surface of the wall part 12a facing the transformer 32 while making surface contact with it. The both heat radiating plates are connected through a heat conducting plate 43 integrally molded with them. Thereby, heat of the wall part 12a is brought to the first heat radiating plate 41 from the second heat radiating plate 42 through the heat conducting plate 43, and is emitted to the chassis 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
