PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electric machine, wherein the reliability of coil connection is enhanced, coil terminal treatment is simplified, and workability in assembling components is enhanced. SOLUTION: Flat conductors are laminated and inserted in the slots in a stator core. The preceding-stage winding end portion of the flat conductor and the subsequent-stage winding start portion of the flat conductor are stacked and connected together, to form an aggregate of stator coils 2. The aggregate of stator coils 2 comprises a plurality of coil groups, and the stator coils are connected as follows: one of electrodes is secured at one end of a conductor of a coil group, and the other electrodes is displaced. Thereafter, the preceding- stage winding end portion and the subsequent-stage winding start portion of the conductor are connected together. An insulation ring having connecting wires wired thereon, is integrally assembled thereto. Then, the winding end portion and the winding start portion of the aggregate of the stator coils are connected together, to constitute a specified winding circuit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
